There are many yoga teacher training programs in the St Louis area.  Below are a few things that make this program unique:

  • Small class size allowing for lots of individual attention.
  • The Program Director has been teaching yoga for 20 years, and training teachers for 12 years.  This course has an excellent reputation and has some well-respected teachers as alumni.
  • Observing 6 yoga classes with the Program Director is a part of the program.  This allows students to learn by watching an experienced instructor teach and interact with students.  It also allows for all participants to get experience teaching poses in a real yoga class setting, alongside the Program Director.
  • Learn Pam’s “snowflake principle of yoga”, which at its core is about understanding the anatomy of a pose, as well as the unique anatomy of the individual student…allowing these two reference points to inform how we can make the poses accessible to a wider audience.
  • The first part of the program focuses on a set sequence of poses, giving everyone some common ground to start teaching.
  • The second section of the program dives into sequencing concepts that you can use to develop your own unique classes.
  • Lively and informative discussions on yoga philosophy topics.
  • Plenty of opportunities during the weekend intensives to actually teach poses to your fellow teacher trainees, as well as work on getting comfortable with other aspects of teaching.
  • Four one-on-one mentor sessions with the Program Director are included in the course fee.
  • We are a 500 hour registered yoga school.  In addition to the 200 hour program, we offer a 300 advanced teacher training program that is registered with Yoga Alliance.

All teacher training classes are held at 3518-1 Greenwood Blvd, Maplewood MO 63143.
